CC2500 and CC2543 connectting

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2500, CC2543, CC2541, CC2545, CC2544

Hi,

question 1 : The CC2500 can connecting CC2543 By GFSK or MSK ?

Quetsion 2:  If they can , How use SmartRF Studio 7 to testing it ? I had try to run the package TX (CC2543)and package RX (Cc2500) , But they didn't received.

  • Hello Wu,

    Q1:

I know the CC2500 can communicate with the CC2543 ( also the CC2541, CC2544 and CC2545 as well ) with MSK modulation at the bit rates 250 kbps and 500 kbps.

But the CC254x devices only support frequencies in the integer MHz range (resolution of 1MHz, ex: 2400 MHz, 2401 MHz, ....). Make sure to choose a frequency plan for the CC2500 where all the frequencies are close enough to a complete MHz to be able to get a working link with the CC254x devices. The frequency error tolerance might decrease with longer payloads.

It might be possible to set up a link with GFSK modulation at 250 kbps, but I will have to test it. If you can use the MSK modulation I would advice you to use it.

    Q2:

I have attached SmartRFStudio settings you can use to set up a test both ways with MSK modulation for 250 kbps and 500 kbps:
