CC2531DK dongle and packet sniffer

Hi all,

Recently i want to buy a CC2531EMK to be used as a packet sniffer. But when i took it on hand i found that it is CC2531DK dongle instead of CC2531EMK.

Because i know the CC2531EMK is preprogramed with firmware used for packet sniffer, So i do not buy any debuger or other flasher tools. 

Now when i plug the CC2531DK dongle into PC and open the packet sniffer, it can found any capture device. 

So i want to know what difference between the CC2531EMK and CC2531DK dongle? Can i use the CC2531DK dongle as a packet sniffer(If i do not flash

any other firmware)?

    There is no difference between the two. It is the same dongle that comes with the CC2531EMK and the CC2530DK. Both should be preprogrammed with sniffer firmware.
