IAR Compiler 8.11.1 Kickstart version and CC2540 Keyfob

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540

Hi All

I'm just getting into the BLE world and have successfully flashed the CC2540 on my setup.

However, on trying to compile the KeyfobDemo project in the IAR 8.11.1 Kickstart IDE, one of the files gets an error and is marked as exceeding the code size limit.

Since TI say we should use this compiler, is it possible to compile the KeyfobDemo in the IAR compiler? I can't find any info on whether this should be possible?

If it should be possible, how should the system be set up to enable compilation? I have tried the forum replies, some of which got me further than others.

I have the "--ks_version" set for the linker. I have tried several settings on the Project > Options > Linker > Output tab, none of which has allowed me to compile successfully.

There are no patches available from IAR as this is the Kickstart version.

Please give me some idea of what I should be able to achieve.

Thanks in advance.

Max
