PARTNUM and VERSION

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC430F6137

Hi,

could anybody explain what is the purpose of PARTNUM and VERSION register in RF core of CC430F6137 and what are they used for? Is there any register inside the CC430F6137 which has the unique id of the chip.

  • PARTNUM is used to distinguish the different LPRF transceivers/transmitters/SoC's.

VERSION is used to keep track of the different silicon revisions for a particular LPRF transceiver/transmitter/SoC

CC430 will have a PARTNUM + VERSION that is unique for CC430, but there is no register that holds a unique ID for each chip.
