Any 3rd party is building a certified module with CC2538 yet?

Hi John,
I doubt there are any modules on the market yet since the CC2538 is still PREVIEW status.
And please clarify the certification you are asking about - ZigBee Alliance? FCC? FYI, if you want to see ZigBee Alliance approved modules, you can go to the website, search CC2538 and for this one, nothing is shown. But if you search CC2530, you'll see many that have been approved and the certificate issued. For example: http://www.zigbee.org/DesktopModules/ZigbeeDisplayCategoryProducts/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductID=611&Ctrl=ViewProducts .

The customer might check with Anaren, as they have CC2530 modules:

Also, LSResearch: http://www.lsr.com/wireless-products/proflex01-soc .

Long time passed...
Seeking supplier for CC2538 as an OEM module type certified by at least FCC. Need M3/M4 in order to host 6LoWPAN.
Is Anaren pursuing this? Since Anaren was acquired by a capital holding group, are they still "in the game?"
Embit is making a CC2538-based module: http://www.embit.eu/emb-z2538pa-is-the-new-arm-cortex-m3-wireless-module-by-embit/ .
Hi,
First: Yes! We (Anaren) are still in the game.
Second: At this time we have no plans for a CC2538 module.
We do have a CC2530 module in production that you may find helpful -- see http://www.anaren.com/air/products/air-for-zigbee-standard-apps for more information.
Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions. I am happy to help.
Best regards,
Geof
Hi Leonard,
Other than Embit, do we have anyone else now who designed an FCC Certified CC2538 module?
Also, our CC2538EMK - is it FCC certified? And if so, I assume it's much lower risk for the customer to get the certification if they follow our reference design to the "T"?
Thanks
Viktorija
Viktorija!
Good to hear from you! Yes, the reference design EM has been FCC/ETSI certified, although any new product must also undergo certification for the respective country where it is to be sold. And if the designer follows the exact design of the EM reference ( CC2538 Reference Design v1.2.0 ), then the probability of passing radio certification of the new product is almost guaranteed - yes, follow the design to the "TI".
Also note that the SW stack has been ZigBee certified ( A fully compliant ZigBee 2012 solution: Z-Stack ).
