Can you modify the frequency range of a MSP-SA430 Spectrum Analyzer?

Hello

I am looking at a MSP-SA430 Spectrum Analyzer tool and am very interested.

I would like to know if I can modify the frequency ranges to look at the frequency ranges of 699-894MHz and 1710-2155MHz – which are the cell phone bands of interest.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need more detail.

Elush,

No, the device is based on a CC430 series device which does not cover the bands you are asking about.

Please refer to the datasheet of the part.

What about using it @ lower than 300 MHz? Is it possible?

If you take a look at the CC430 datasheet, it specifies the following frequency ranges:

Frequency Bands: 300 MHz to 348 MHz, 389 MHz to 464 MHz, and 779 MHz to 928 MHz

Operation below 300MHz is not possible.

John is correct. The datasheet states the ranges the CC430 can operate in and it can't be changed.
