C1101 mounting--substrate requirements?

Hi,

I'm wondering if the C1101 chip and associated balun/antenna need to be mounted on low-loss (ie duroid) type substrate, or if typical FR4 is fine.

Does anyone have any data concerning the effects of cheaper substrates on overall performance?

    FR4 s used in the CC1101 reference design. From CC1101 Reference Design "Readme.txt" file:

    PCB DESCRIPTION: 2 LAYER PCB 0.8 MM NOMINAL THICKNESS FR4
    Dimensions in mil (0.001 inch)
    DOUBLE SIDE SOLDER MASK,
    DOUBLE SIDE SILKSCREEN,
    8 MIL MIN TRACE WIDTH AND 8 MIL MIN ISOLATION
    Dielectric constant for FR4 is 4.5
