CC1120 bit errors when receiving certain 4-FSK patterns

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1120

I've noticed bit errors occur when sending packets between CC1120 devices that contain certain patterns (errors maybe 50-75% of the time). Link quality/RSSI is very good as the radios are adjacent. Enabling data whitening definitely helps, but I would like to know why this error occurs in the first place. Maybe due to the way 4-FSK symbols are demodulated when switching between 11 and 00 symbols repeatedly? Is this a known issue and/or reproducible?

3 patterns that induce bit errors:

0x3333

0x6666

0x9999

1 pattern that does not induce bit errors is 0x0000.

Relevant settings:

Mod = 4-FSK

Rx bandwidth = 100 kHz

Freq dev = 30 kHz

Data rate = 38.4 kSps
