Low Frequency Demo Reader - RI-ACC-ADR2-10 connection fails due power problem

Hello people of the E2E Community ;),

I’ve got a question about that Demo Reader Board.

It is getting supplied with 12V over a relay and sometimes it is even not reacting to the RFID Demo Software of TI. The software is starting to set up a connection with three specific commands:

1. (is optional) Get SerialNumber

TX: 01010504

RX: 010505020804010F

2. (needed) I guess its a activation code

TX: 010D170154009600A0009600FA009683

RX: 010D190154009600A0009600FA00968D

3. (needed) same as 2

TX: 010B1B01AE009604B000AA100126

RX: 010B1D01AE009604B000AA100120

But sometimes it is not even responding to one of those commands. Only if I unplug the main power supply of our complete system and plug it in again after a little delay of three seconds. Then it is able to react on those three commands and everything works fine again.

Is this a known issue and do you have any advice to solve this problem?

hope anybody can help me to solve my issue,

Dave

  • Dave, hard to say what the problem is. Please note that the ADR2 is an evaluation module for demo purposes and engineering support only.

Not sure if the problem is related to the power supply or rather to an USB communication problem that sees a reset when you unplug the power.
