CC2500 RSSI Value reading

Hello,

I was working with CC110L before and I didnt need RSSI value never. now Im working with CC2500 and I need to know RSSI value when data recieved. I have no idea how to do it. Im sending 8 bytes data and reading well I dont have problem with it. Just I need to know when data comes Rssi value. How should I do it ?

Note : Im using Pic not MSP

I tried something,

UINT8 rssi_dec;

INT16 rssi_dBm;

UINT8 rssi_offset = 72;

rssi_dec = halSpiReadStatus(CCxxx0_RSSI);

if

(rssi_dec >= 128)

rssi_dBm = (INT16)((INT16)( rssi_dec - 256) / 2) - rssi_offset;

else

rssi_dBm = (rssi_dec / 2) - rssi_offset;

I used this formula and Im reading RSSI when GDO2 goes to high (when sync word came) but result is always 0xf1. Where is the problem

I need to know only when I should read RSSI Register and how.

Now Im reading when GDO2 goes to high and Im reading 1 byte from spi. still same. zero difference.
