There are 169 MHz and 420-470 MHz reference designs on web.
420-470 MHz: http://www.ti.com/tool/cc1200em-420-470-rd
169 MHz: http://www.ti.com/tool/cc1120em-169-rd. This is for CC1120, but you can use this and simply change to CC1200 and use 40 MHz crystal. This design can be used as a starting point and might need to be tweaked for optimum performance at 138 MHz.
For dual band operation you need to add switches to the design and there will be a few passives as you need separate balun and PA load for the two frequency bands. A sketch is attached - use 169 MHz design instead of 868 MHz.
Hello,
I’m currently working on fast switch from Tx to Rx state without intermediate IDLE state and I have the following questions:
1) Do I need to clear PA_POWER_RAMP=0 when I use Tx/Rx turnaround?
2) When ramp-down operation starts and stops when I use Tx/Rx turnaround (command strobe SRX)?
3) Does Tx/Rx turnaround guarantee a sterling Tx->Rx switch: I can see that Rx_Fifo must be flushed?
4) What side effect could I face when I send the command strobe SFRX in Rx state?
Thanks a lot,
Alex
