Dear Sir/Madam,
The CC2541 can be configured for MSK modulation, Minimum Shift keying. A form of digital modulation also referred to as, when I'm correct, a continuous phase modulation scheme. A modulation used for long range and more resistant against noise. The constellation diagram belonging to MSK (I/Q) consist of four symbols. Each symbols represents 2 bits. The datasheets mentioned 500kbps when the receiver is configured for MSK.
My question is concerning the 500kbps:
- Is that the number of symbols (baud rate), in that case the real throughput will be 1 Mbps or is the 500bps the real throughput of the number of bits.
Gr M.
