There are two gain settings, high gain and low gain (~29 dB and ~26 dB gain (the data sheet will have the exact numbers).  Gain control for finer resolution is done by the controlling transmitter/transceiver.

2. Can the PA be bypassed? If so, what is the insertion loss?

No, it can not be bypassed, but in low gain mode with a low power in, it can transmit relatively low power out.

3. Do you have curves for current consumption vs. Tx output power?

Yes.  Idle current in high gain is ~55 mA and as power goes up, you have ~285 mA with 26 dBm output (off the top of my head). 

4. When do you expect this part to be in production?

 ASAP.

Right now the 915 MHz solution is there, the 868 MHz solution is being tested and finalized.

We are eagerly waiting for cc1190 full datasheet.Can anyboby tell us when it will be released at net?.we want some info abt CC1101+CC1190 eval board also.

Which band (868 MHz or 915 MHz) are you looking to use the CC1190?  The datasheet should be working its way through the computer system and onto the webpage, days at most I hope.

Hi Ken,

Not in the very near future but the CC1101 radio is inside the CC430 so please copy the CC1101 + CC1190 ref design for the radio section and for the remainder of the CC430+CC1190 design use the CC430 ref design.

Thanks for the reply. I have seen in the CC1190 data sheet that there is a SAW between the CC110X and the CC1190 (figure 12). However this SAW is not shown in either the CC1101 ref des, or the CC1190 ref des. Perhaps I havn't found the correct reference design... What type of SAW should be used here?

Hi, for the reference design of the CC1101 exists a matched Balun from Johanson Technology presented in the design note DN025. Can I use this matched balun for a design with CC430 and CC1190 as well?
