laod impedance

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2592, CC2541, CC2538

Dear Sir,

The reference design of the CC2592 is based on the CC2538. Our design is based on the CC2541 including the CC2592. The CC2541 likes to see another load impedance at its differential RF ports as the CC2538.

The reference deisgn based on the CC2538 advises to take over the component distance and trace prperties. Is this still the case when using the CC2541? What is your experiamce when using the CC2541 instead of the CC2528.

  • Hello,

Try to copy it as a start. The CC2592 does not match well to any impedance but it will accept a quite wide range. Think of it as an area in the smith chart with acceptable impedances. That being said, we do have the option to mount a shunt component in the CC2538-CC2592EM design. This can be used if some tuning is necessary.
