HI,
Please let us know whether our TRF7960A/70A does support ISO18000-3 Mode3 by default.
If not how can we do to implement?

mode 3 option 1 is supported. This is ASK version of 13.56MHz EPCGen 2 protocol...where are you getting tags for that? i thought it was dead...enlighten me, please. this was documented in the original TRF7960 EVM user guide, but no one ever really made tags for it (at least back then) http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slou192c/slou192c.pdf
HI Josh,
Let me clarify it with some details. One of our client is planning to use NXP ICODE ILT based tags with our readers. The datasheet of tag IC mentions just ISO18000-3M3 standard without detailing whether it supports option 1 or not. As we are currently using TRF7960 RF IC in our readers, kindly let us know if it can support the specified tags or not.

on the front page of the NXP data sheet - please see the bullet point under key benefits they have put there:
"...Supported by ISO 15693/18000-3M1 infrastructure..."
now then, since it has been quite some time, and we have none of these transponders, please do me a favor here and test with the old TRF7960 GUI, using the EPC tab and this will tell us here if the legacy firmware supports or not and then will point us towards next steps - thanks!

i have reread here and i must admit i made a small mistake above.
ISO18000-3 M1 is covered by bullet point i called out - this is same as ISO15693
now then the first bullet point covers the point from before - they call it
Fully compliant with ISO 18000-3M3/EPC Class-1 HF
standard...which means option 1, since for sure they don't do PJM (that is Magellan), and this is NXP, so this means the ASK version, which is option 1...
sorry for the confusion here, please try it out, though
thanks!
