Other Parts Discussed in Thread: REMOTI
1.In "RemoTI Developer's Guide" document says that the RTI layer implements ZRC , ZID and GDP profiles. I saw in "RemoTI Developer's Guide" scronyms tha GDP is Generic Device Profile, a profile to support compatibility, as well as collect common functionality, between future profiles. But I didn't find more information about this profile. This is not a ZigBee RF4CE profile, is this? What exactly this profile does in sample application? If I want to develop an application for Remote Control using ZRC profile I have to include the GDP profile in my project?
2. I read in "RemoTI Developer'd Guide" document in chapter "1.4.1.3 RCN library" that RCN includes the RF4CE network layer, the IEEE 802.15.4 MAC layer and the radio firmware. I was confused with this sentence because I thought that ZigBee just deals with network and application layers. Could you please explain to me which function that RCN layer have in IEEE 802.15.4 MAC layer and radio firmware?
