Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-EXP430F5529LP, DLP-7970ABP, TRF7970A

Dear all,

If I want to running MSP-EXP430F5529LP with DLP-7970ABP in Direct Mode 0. How much works I need to do?

As I know, in hardware part, I need to do a little operation on DLP-7970ABP to let the MOD signal under control.

Is ti all enough?

In software part, did the NFCLink can be used to save our time. I've saw the datasheet of TRF7970A but still do not know how to beginning .

Thanks.

  • KJ,

For direct mode 0, you need the MOD pin and must set ASK/OOK pin.  The subcarrier signal will be present on I/O_6.

NFCLink may not be the best software to start with as this is a library and is really intended for NFC compliant devices using direct mode 2.  If you are trying to do ISO 15693 card emulation using direct mode 0 as you mention in another post, we do not have any code examples of card emulation using direct mode 0, so there will definately be a good deal of software work to implement this.

  • also, since you are using the DLP Design TRF7970A BoosterPack, see this thread (scroll down) for how to get access to the MOD pin.
