TRF7970ARHBT test code for intentional radiator

Hello,

My customer is using the TRF7970ARHBT RFID transceiver IC.  From a regulatory standpoint, we know that we are going to have to perform intentional radiator testing as the antenna used in our application is custom.  That being said, it is common for special builds of SW to exist for exactly these types of situations (e.g., place the IC in continuous transmit mode, configure modulation schemes, etc.).

Can you tell me if TI has any of this “test” software available?
Is there any additional information/guidance you can provide here?

Thank you very much.  Keith

to place the reader into CW mode all that is required is to write register 0x00 with 0x21 (full power @ +5VDC) or 0x31 (full power @ +3VDC), and to turn off the TX'er to measure unintentional would just be writing same register with 0x01.

modulation scheme would be handled by writing registers 0x01 (ISO Control) and 0x09 (modulation depth) then sending the commands they would normally send to activate a tag type. (Inventory, REQA, REQB, etc.) in a  polling manner.

these would satisfy intentional, unintentional, freq deviation over temp and operational testing for EMC.
