Where can I buy power amplifier HF board?

Hi all,

I'm designing power amplifier for HF RFID reader referenced from HF Power Amplifier (Reference Design Guide) of TI. I want to test the PA board first. It's available? Where can I buy the board?

Regards,

Chiase

  • Hi Chiase,

Sorry, we do not offer the PA board for sale.  I will send you a private message to discuss your application and requirements outside of this thread.

  • Hi Eddie,
I know I should contact you via personal message, but I failed..
Do you have a copy of the " TI 4W - HF power amplifier" design file?
I have only got the document called "HF Power Amplifier (Reference Design Guide)", which has not a clear enough schematic.
We are trying to design a 25W power amplifier for our RFID system.
  • Jiang -

you might want to check your local region EMC limits  - in all the countries i am aware of that regulate 13.56MHz frequency band, 25W output would be out of spec and you could end up with fines or face other legal implications.

for known good high power HF devices - i would highly recommend you go here ==>

antennas for use with high power here ==>

  • Hi Josh,
Thank you so much for off topic and author reply.
I appreciate the reader module and antenna you suggested. However, I have a rather specific application for railway eurobalise, a device used for communication between wayside and train, and the power is provided with near field power like RFID but with a different frequency 27.095MHz, and the communication just use another channel, not the back scatter in RFID and NFC. I said 25W, but I don't exactly know the power rating. However, I think there won't be a problem about EMC limits, because there's already products used this way.
So that why I want the sloc132.zip HF power amplifier design file for reference.
  • magnetic RFID does not use backscatter - that is UHF band RFID.

EMC limit in EU is 12W for 13.56MHz

if you want something at 27MHz band this is not the correct forum for you
