CC Debugger dead?

Hi,
I've a big problem with my CC Debugger and it seems like the controller hangs or is dead! I've programmed about 20 customized wireless controllers successfully and now it seems like the CC Debugger cannot start. The orange LED is always on and the CC Debugger is not recognized by the PC (I cannot update the firmware because SmartRF cannot detect the CC Debugger). Unfortunately I don't have a second CC Debugger to program the broken one!

I tried starting the CC Debugger in boot mode, but that fails! The orange LED is always ON.

What can I do to repair my CC Debugger? Should I replace the CC2511 controller? Is the bootloader pre-flashed on the CC2511?

When the LED turn orange the flash has been erased/ gotten the wrong image and you have to re-flash it. A new CC2511 will not be pre-flashed with a image.

To save the CCDebugger you have to be able to do the procedures described in 8.4 in http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru197h/swru197h.pdf

If you have a SmartRF05EB or SmartRF04EB available, you can use that to resurrect the CC Debugger. If that's not the case you're unfortunately out of luck. Then buying a new CC Debugger is the cheapest solution.
