Testing receiver at sensitivity level

Hello All

At our production line we test the reciver at sensitivity level ( approx. -102 dBm) with PER configuration test.

My question:

Is it reccomended to test the receiver at sensitivity level (-102 dBm) or is it better to test it at higher level (-80 dBm for example) ?

Regards,

HN

  • Do you want to test performance or simply test functionality?

If you want to test performance you will measure with an input signal level close to the sensitivity limit (add 1 -2 dB to account for process variations)

If this is a functional test only you can measure with an -80 dBm input signal level
