Hi members

i have queestion. please help.

I have tried with two sets of MSP-EXP430F5529 + TRF7970ATB with my PC.
I want to P2P demo according to "Introduction to NFCLink".
I was the setting as is written in P54.
But I was not able to make any data transaction between Initiator and Target.
why its not work?

other refernce is NFCLink Firmware User's Guide www.ti.com/lit/Slou386

  • I'm sorry, information I was missing.
    NFCLink_1.0.0.3
  • Hello Elwood,

Do any of the other NFC modes work correctly? For example setup one board to be a reader for all the tag types, and setup the board to be in Card Emulation Mode for ISO14443-B. When you put the two antennas on top of each other, do you see the tabs switch on the NFCPlayer?

If the other modes are not working please verify that you have the jumper connected between P4.0 and P2.0 (As shown in pg 18 of the Introduction to NFCLink presentation)

    Regards,

    Erick M.

  • Dear Erick-san

    Thank you for the reply

I've check the configuration of the jumper.
Setting was it was confirmed that have been correctly. (18 pages I was referring.)
In board I was able to read the tag of 15693
I think that there is no problem with the configuration of the board.

What I should not be set to GUI?

  • Hey Elwood,

    1. Make sure that you have a instance of the GUI connected to each board.  Do this by reading your 15693 tag with each board and confirm they are both working at once.

    2. Make sure 1 board Configured for Initiator and the other for target.  If they are both Target, they will not work.

    3. Present the antennas to each other.  You should see GUI flip to the P2P table automatically.

Do you have a NFC phone that you could try?

    Thanks,

    JD

  • Hello Elwood,

If you do have a NFC enabled smartphone it would be helpful to test initiator and target modes seperately first. Then you can enable both target and initiator modes. In the case you want to receive messages from the handset make sure to enable the SNEP server under the Servivce box.

Were you able to do the card emulation and reader test I mentioned before?

    Regards,

    Erick

  • Dear members

    sorry late replay.
As a result of the some experiments, EVM is worked.

    To ON the check box.
The thing to keep in mind is the sensitivity of the antenna.
These two points could point important.

here was significant progress thanks to your support.
    Sincerely I thank you.
