In the RemoTI Developer's Guide there is a discussion of the Transmission Options available; one of them being the Unicast/NoAck/SC that I would like to use to increase data throughput. It explains that this option can be configured in the RTI_SendDataReq() function for the controller.

How does one do this on the Target too?

In other words, after pairing, when both the Controller and the Target have decided on the channel, I would like to transmit and make sure that the Target is listening on the original channel.

Hi RopeS,

Could you just send a Unicast/ACK packet and when you get the ack then you can do the unicast/NoAck/SC to make sure that your are transmitting on the same channel that the target is listening?

Yes I could.

But, if I transmit during a long period, 5 or 10 minutes, will the Target remain on the same channel during this period ?

Can I assume, from your response, that setting Reception options for the Target is not possible?

Hi RopeS,

Can you tell me more about your application? Sending UnAck does not gain you a lot. In our Advance Remote example which supports the ZID profile, we send ZID air mouse packets using unack, and what we do is that about every 5 packets, we send an ack package to be sure that both remote and target are in sync. You can turn off frequency agility in the target, by using the RTI_WriteItemEx() API to set the RCN_NIB_AGILITY_ENABLE attribute to false. The target will look in the pairing table to find the proper channel to use for TX (this channel is the last channel in which an ack was received).
