CC Debugger Recognized from PC but no LED lit

Hello,

the CC Debugger is recognized from Windows and listed at the Device manager as "Cebal controlled devices".

Smart RF Studio 7 is recognizing it as well in the list "List of connected devices:".

I have nothing connected to it, but the LED is not lit at all, neither red, orange or green.

If i press the reset button on the CC Debugger and the "Find device:" in the Smart RF Studio it wont be found anymore.

I have to unplug the Debugger and plug it back in.

  • If i try the "Updating the Firmware Manually in SmartRF Flash Programmer" (Section 8.2. at the CC Debugger User's Guide) it starts and after 1/4 of progress it stops and says "Hardware not found".
  • I tried the forced boot recovery mentioned in the CC Debugger User's Guide, this worked.
    The Debugger had Firmware revision 0044 before and after and there was no change at the behavior.

I tried it with two different PC.

I actually want to program a CC2541, when i attach it to the CC Debugger it isn't recognized and the Debugger behavior is the same.


Does anyone have any clue what the problem could be?

Hardware failure?
