What do the "mesh=5" and "mesh=1" mean in AN043 ?

Dear TI,

In your Application Note AN043 (Small Size 2.4 GHz PCB antenna) section 4.2, there is an interesting statement that, "the measured reflection is between the result obtained with mesh = 5 and mesh = 1".

What do the "mesh=5" and "mesh=1" mean?  How to set it in IE3D V15.00?

Thanks !

Yiming

  • Hi,
As per the app note, accuracy of simulation results depends upon the setiings of Mesh.
If Mesh =1, less accuracy , lesser simulation time
If Mesh =5 , Higher accuracy, more simulation time
I don't have Zeland software to verify how to set the Mesh? Thanks.PM
