Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRF7970A

Hello,

There is a question by description of the data sheet of TRF7970A.

http://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/ds/symlink/trf7970a.pdf

The Supply current in the Stand-by mode of (+5V) is indicated to be TYP=1.9mA and MAX=3.5mA by Page 10.

Typical Current 3mA is indicated by Page 19 Table 6-4.

What is the difference between these two description?

Regards,
Hidetaka.

  • Hello Hidetaka,

I beleive that the second description was taken from an actual measurment taking the TRF7970AEVM into this standby mode.  This board uses VDD_X to power a microcontroller as well and this could be where the additional current was seen.  With that said, this is still within specification since the max is 3.5mA.
