How do I get SmartRF Studio 7 "EASY MODE" to work?

Hello,

I find that when using the SmartRF Studio 7 it comes up in the Expert Mode and I cannot select the Easy Mode.

I have SmartRF Studio 7 Version 2.2.0 running on a Dell computer with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

The hardware I am using is a SmartRF06 Evaluation Board with a CC2650EM-7ID Evaluation Module. My co-workers have the same result on their computers.

What do I need to do to get the Easy Mode to work?

I think TI hasn't implement Easy Mode for CC26XX so it is disable on SmartRF Studio.

It is correct as Yikay says. Easy Mode has not been implemented for these devices. Sorry for the confusion here. We plan to remove the 'Easy Mode' tab in the next release, since this mode is not supported.

Ok, since the Easy Mode has not been implemented, I have a follow-on question. In the "Expert Mode", Packet TX tab, is ADV_NONCONN_IND: non-connectable undirected advertising event the only type packet I can transmit? I do not see a way to select a different TX packet type.

Hi,

Yes, the ADV_NONCONN_IND is the only packet type supported in BLE mode for CC2650. This packet type does not require a connection, and you can still send on any BLE channel and not just the advertising channels.
