Hi,

I am currently working on CC2541 mini development kit and trying to analyse it.

I am following the CC2541 mini development kit quick start guide.

According to above document, I have tried steps 1 to 5 and these worked fine. But when I tried to Enable Accelerometer i.e. writing 01:00 to characteristic handle 0x0034, Btool flashes error as writing failed.

So I am trying to download the keyfobdemo hex file to cc2541 board. I have connected the debugger to CC2541 board. The Debugger shows green led. I have installed Setup_SmartRFProgr_1.12.7 and drives are installed automatically during programmer installation. But when I open the flash programmer window, it doesn't show any device list even if cc2541 board is connected through debugger. In device manager window of PC, it shows Unknown USB Device(Device Descriptor request failed). If I try to update the drivers it flashes the message as drivers are up to date.

So please tell me what can be done.

I have notified the tools group. Please take a screen shot of SmartRFStudio window after you open it while the debugger is connected to the CC2541.

Can you open Smart RF Flash programmer and check if you need to update the "EB firmware" on the debugger.

Hi Eirik V,

Smart RF Flash programmer is not showing any connected devices even if debugger is connected.

Following is the screen shot of the Smart flash programmer screen taken when debugger with cc2541 board connected to PC through USB port.

Following screen shot shows device manager window of PC which shows unknown USB device when debugger is connected to USB port of PC.

If I update the drivers by right click on the Unknown USB Device, it shows following screen shot.

So, please tell me what will be the cause.

Hi,

Could you connect the CCDebugger to PC, without connecting the cc2541 device.

Please attach an image of the setup, a screenshot of device manager (preferably with CEBAL device

expanded), aslo a screenshot of smartRF flash programmer when "Program Evaluation Board" is selected,

as shown:

Hi Igor Sherer,

According to your reply, I tried connecting CC debugger to PC without connecting it to CC2541 board. The LED on CC debugger glows red and following are the screen shots of Smart flash programmer window and Device manager window when device was connected to PC.

Seems like the CC debugger isn't being detected by the PC.

I suggest you to follow chapter 8.3 (and 8.2) in CC debugger user's guide

The driver for CC debugger is usually located in the following path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Firmware\CC Debugger
