smartRF studio 7 download

Urikaka

Hi all!

I'm learning about CC1110. and i use smartRF studio 7 with CC1110. I need download smartRF studio 7 but i only see version 2.3.1 at here.

i downloaded Qt 5.5.0 Source and Libraries for Windows (MSVC2013) but it is fail. i can't extract it.

can you give me a link for download?

If you go to www.ti.com/.../smartrftm-studio and download 2.3.1 you get the latest version of SmartRF Studio 7.

yes.
i think the latest version is (ZIP, 639939 KB) 331 views, 25 Sep 2015) and i did. but it is fail and i can't extract

Did you run as admin and how did it fail?

You don't need to install the QT library to run SmartRF Studio

please help me!
i want to know how to use smartRF studio. i read SmartRF Studio 7 Tutorial Product

and do like Exercise 1.
the first, i double click at cc1110 of SmartRF studio.
then i choose 314.999664 Mhz and ASK/OOK at RF Parameters of Export Mode panel.
next, i want to click start button but it disabled.
why do it disabled? what do i need?
i show connected devices at cc1110 and message show is no connected device. why?

Not sure how to understand your last line. If you have not connected a CC1110 board to the PC correctly through a CCDebugger or similar it will not show in SmartRF Studio.

i click right at cc1110 IC of smartRF studio and choose show connected devices. Message show is no connected.
is it related to the start button disabled?

I read SmartRF Studio 7 Tutorial Product and see that SmartRF Studio 7 can run on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit).
does it run on Windows 8?

I had run SmartRF Studio 7 on Win 8 without problem. Now, I use Win 10 and it also works.

i run SmartRF studio 7 on win 8. i double click to CC1110. At CC1110- Device control Panel ,start button is disable.
why?what should i do?

i'm not sure. I only double click cc1110 at SmartRF studio

and then CC1110 device control panel is opended

You have to connect CC1110 to your desktop first otherwise it won't work.

does it mean that i need a ic CC1110 ?
can i use SmartRF studio without IC CC1110, only work with computer and not use IC?
i'm not sure i understand what is connect CC1110 to my computer

Yes, you need a physical CC1110 connected to your PC to make it work.

i thought that smartRf studio is a compiler and i can use without IC1110.

It depends on what you mean be using it without CC1110.

SmartRF Studio has 2 main purposes:

- Simple PER testing sending/ receiving where the device is controlled by SmartRF Studio

- To find the recommended setting for the device. This can be done without a physical device connected. The settings should then be pasted into your code.
