Continuous modulated TX CC2630+CC2590 for CE cert testing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK, CC2590, CC2538, CC2630

Shortly we're going to have products, that use a combination of CC2630 and CC2590 go through CE (similar to FCC in the US) certification tests.

For these we would need a way to send a continuous stream of packets on any chosen channel. Similar to what is possible using SmartRF Studio. However, we can't use SmartRF Studio for this, as there is no possibility to control the CC2590 and measurements would be off. So we need to build a firmware that does this while also using the range extender.

I've read this post regarding the CC2530, where the threadstarter asked something similar, but the stacks and the underlying architecture is (of course) different.

Is there another possibility to do this besides SmartRF Studio or a custom firmware?

If not, are there any API documents available that explain how to do this (in Z-Stack if possible) maybe even examples for code snippets?

Thanks in advance,

stephanie
