I work for an IT Consulting Company which is implementing an ERP for an Air Conditioning Manufacturing Company, and we are interested in utilizing RFID technology which can be implemented into the manufacturing process and also be used in warehousing (inventory tracking), distribution, and possibly even eventually retail.
We are looking for a product that can be affixed to metal and plastic products. We are looking for a product that possesses "anti-collision" and "multi-access" technology so we may scan/read multiple RFID tags simultaneously when performing inventory of stacked products made at least partially out of metal. As I understand it, technologies that conform to one or multiple of the following standards will likely meet this requirement:
-Slotted ALOHA (a form of TDMA)
-Adaptive Binary Tree
-Slotted Terminal Adaptive Collection (STAC)
-EPC UHF Class I Gen 2
Can anyone confirm if these technologies sound like what I am actually looking for?
Does TI have any products that would meet our requirements?
