CC1350 - Very high erase current when VDD below 2.65V?

Hi guys!

We're observing a noticeable increase in power consumption when erase a page when VDD is below 2.65 V or so. Do you have any idea of why this might be?

We're using the DC/DC and the latest DriverLib.

Best regards
Niklas

  • Might have been a little quick on the trigger finger here and we're looking into this more.

In the meantime, I'll generalize a little and instead ask if there's anything in particular we should think about in general when it comes to using the flash at low voltages?

    Best regards,
    Niklas
  • Hi Niklas,

There are no special precautions for using the flash at low voltages.

As with any DCDC regulator, the input current will increase for decreasing supply voltage (this can also be seen from the current vs. supply voltage plots in the datasheet). This is of course something that will have to be taken into consideration when doing your system design.

Are they not giving you any summer vacation btw? :-)

    Best regards,
    Fredrik
