Flash programming the CC2530 (EM)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2530EM, CC2530, CC2511

Hello,

Is there any way to flash the zigbee stack (ZNP hex file) onto the CC2530EM without the SmartRF05EB evaluation board?  For instance, a JTAG interface?

Also, how do I program the CC2530 on my final device?  Do I attach some jumpers to certain pins and use software to flash the device?

Best Regards,

Jerome Grunnagle

  • Hello Jerome,

"Is there any way to flash the zigbee stack (ZNP hex file) onto the CC2530EM without the SmartRF05EB evaluation board?  For instance, a JTAG interface?"

Yes, but you must get the CC Debugger and see at page 9 in the swru197.

    Reference diagram is shown there.

I recommend to insert pull-up register to P2.1 not only to P2.2 shown as in the diagram.

And it's better to shortener pattern on your PCB between CC Debugger Connector and pins of RFIC.

If you still have any question, post again.
