What interface does the STB use? CC2533 is primarily an RF4CE device. Is it safe to assume that the STB support RF4CE?

yes, the STB support RF4CE. I use SmartRF Packet Sniffer to view packets and the STB can bind with CC2541 Advanced Remote Control. The goal is to replace the remote by a usb dongle and a software ( I'm c# developer).

Hmm.. ok, so CC2541 is a BLE device (Bluetooth LowEnergy). BLE is a different 2.4GHz radio protocol. RF4CE can not talk directly to BLE. Did you mean a CC2533 based Advanced Remote?

It's the Advanced RF remote control of the CC2533 RF4CE Development Kit.

Ok, then dependent on the profile used you can use one of two firmware for the CC2531 dongle. They are both available in the RemoTI installers (RemoTI-1.3.1 for ZRC1.1 and RemoTI-1.4.0 for ZRC2.0). Since ZRC2.0 is backwards compatible you can start with RemoTI-1.3.1 as the same RNP dongle firmware works for both Target and Controller.

There's host code to operate as Controller here: github.com/.../RemoTI-Linux. Follow the steps on the start page. This is based on the above mentioned firmware.

I read the documentation for several days, unfortunately this seems too difficult to use the RF4CE Development Kit with a .NET application
I'd like a simple example to use the SDK in C # but it looks like no one has done this.
Otherwise is there a possibility to use Target Emulator to do that?

You can request the Target Emulator source if you are interested. I cannot provide this here on E2E. This, combined with the application code from github, should be sufficient to get something running on windows.
