Low Power RF Transceiver/Receiver Choice

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1350, CC1310, CC1101

Hi, I am currently working on creating a wireless sensor node based off the MSP432P401R and wanted input from the community on what a good low power RF transceiver/receiver would be that would best work with my intended MSP430. At first I just want to start sending data over such as bits, but then gradually build upon until I am maybe to even send a picture from one micro controller to another. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you !

  • Are you locked to the MSP432? For a lot of applications CC1310/ CC1350 is a good low power alternative.
  • Well I chose msp432 as its something I haven't played around with yet so I wanted to try it as I am still not a micro controller enthusiast. I am also open to other msp430's. My overall goal that I am thinking will be connect a camera module to the msp and ultimately transfer the image to another micro controller. I was looking at transceivers such as the cc1101.
