CC8530: cc8530 & cc2592

Hi All,

I have a custom design BoB for the cc8530 that is using the cc2592 as a range extender.

I can control and speak to the module over SPI, however i do not have any RF communication so far.

As i am trying to use the wireless configurator to set it up, under the radio section i can not find a setting for the cc2592 range extender.

(I can only find settings for the cc2590/cc25921)

Is it possible to let me know if this might be causing the error and make the cc8530 miscommunicate with the cc2592 range extender?

    Hi,

    It should work with the same controls (PAEN, EN) of CC2590, if everything is correct on your design.

    Please note that CC2590 and CC2592 are not Pin Compatible. If you are replacing CC2590 with CC2592 then it won't work. Please refer to data sheets for Pin details.

    The following is the Control Logic of CC2592 which is same as CC2590.

    Hi PM,

    I have checked the schematics and it seems that the cc2592 is properly connected to the cc8530.
    (Even they do not have the same pinout as you mentioned above)

    I was just referring to the Control logic which is the same as it seems.
