Programming CC2530EM with CC debugger

In order to use the CC Debugger to program the CC2530EM (without the SmartRF05 DB), can I just run the appropriate wires (RSTn, DC, DD, VDD (from target), 3.3V (from CC Debugger) and GND) to the headers on the back of the evaluation module?

I would recommend you to give a look at the CC debugger user guide.

Refer to page 11 for the SoC required minimum connections.

-DC, DC and RESET line

-Vdd (pin 2, from the target) and GND

-Vdd 9 is just optional - you can use it to power the SoC while debugging (i.e. connecting 2 and 9 together)

If you want to use the packet sniffer SW with your own module you require also the SPI connection (4 additional lines are required).

Packet sniffer could be useful to debug ZB, RF4CE and SimpliciTI protocols; for this purpose you could use the EM itself connected with the EB.

I have connected my cc2530EM module loaded with sniffer_fw_cc2530.hex ,but when i open smartrf packe sniffer and select 2006/2007 PRO & press start,it doesn't detect my EM board. I have connect proper DD & DC pins ? can you help me here..Is there anything specific requirement in schematic/pin connection?

Did you go through the details in the CC Debugger's User's Guide? For the packet sniffer to work with your board, you also need to hook up 4 additional signals (SPI) between the debugger and the CC2530).
