RI-ACC-ADR2-10: External power supply & User's Guide

Hello from germany,

I bought the ez430-37157 Eval-Kit. The included Reader is the RI-ACC-ADR2-10 i guess (looks the same & shown in the Software GUI).

The User's Guide in the kit is not costumized to the kit components. The reader unit mentioned in the guide seems different to what i get in the kit. I only got a Reference Manual (from online) for the RI-ACC-ADR2.

I want to power my reader unit with an external power supply. In the doc is not discribed how to do this.
Also i couldn't find informations about the jumpers "JP5" and "JP6" on the reader unit. They're not mentioned in the reference manual.

Why is it so hard to find enough information or documents about this part?

I need to know these specific informations about the board to be able to work with it.

Can anyone help?

Thank you for the fast answer.

I have already found this thread. (It's the source where i got the manual)
That manual you linked is the same i already got. If you look into it, you'll see that in the Document aren't any information about my issues.
Unfortunately, this does not help me.

Any other suggestions?

that would be nice. I'm writing my bachelor thesis and the Reader will be a part of that.

I read the document you linked here. But there is also no information about (detailed) external supply or the Jumpers.
That doesn't help.

Hello Fabian,

The schematic on Page 8 shows J5 and J6. They are required in case of a different antenna inductance of 116uH to get the resonance frequency correct. Usually the board comes with a 440uH loop antenna and with that the jumpers are not needed.

For the external supply, what other details are needed beyond what is said on Page 7: "(Optional) Apply an additional power source to the power-connector of the Base Station (9V DC) to achieve an increased transmission range and/or drive a bigger antenna."
