RF430FRL152HEVM: Is it possible to attach a different analog test sensor to the RF430FRL board?

Hi, I am wondering if its possible to attach a different (analog) sensor to the RF430FRL152H?

The temp sensor and light sensor are great demo pieces, but we need to attach a different sensor (most simply a variable resistor) to the HEVM, but would like to avoid messing with the surface mount soldering.

What is the easiest/simplest way to achieve this?
