CC2500: Read PARTNUM and REVISION value

Hi Champs,

My customer mentioned that he can access register from 0x00 to 0x2E. However, when he want to read 0x30(PARTNUM) and 0x31(REVISION) and he got the wrong value. PARTNUM and REVISION are status register. I check chip status byte which didn't show chipID and revision. Could you please tell me how can we read PARTNUM and REVISION ? thanks.

Customer read back all 0xFF at PARTNUM、VERSION. In datasheet, the default value should be 0x80 and 0x03. Could you please tell me how to read PARTNUM、VERSION register value ? Is there any specific command ? thanks

PARTNUM and VERSION are status registers so to read these registers the burst bit has to be set.

This is explained in the data sheet.
