TMS37157: Batteryless operation

hi,

Can anybody tell whether Vbat pin of TMS37157 has to be connected to a battery or a charge capacitor for SPI operation?. Cant  the SPI of TMS37157 get powered from  the internal regulator?

    Hello Subin,

    From what I read in the datasheet, you can write to memory with the SPI bus while not battery powered, but you cannot read from SPI memory unless a battery is connected.

    You can read out data from the device over RF when there is no battery connected.
