CC2650: Preamble and sync word size for 1Mbps, 2Mbps and 5Mbps

Part Number: CC2650

Hi everyone,

I've got from TI the overrides required to test the CC2650 radio in 1Mbps, 2Mbps and 5Mbps but I need to know what is the size of the preamble and sync word for each mode.

Do you also know what is the format of the preamble, is the 0 or the 1 sent first?

Do you know what is the frequency bandwidth in each channel so I determine the lower and upper frequency in each channel and the recommended channel separation for non overlapping?

Cheers,

Jose

  • Hi Jose,

For 1 Mbps, I assume yu mean the BLE 1M PHY. This preamble is defined by the Bluetooth sig. The preamble is 01010101.

I don't know what mode you mean for 2 Mbps.

For 5 Mbps I assume you mean the high speed mode. This mode has:
    112 symbols preamble
    24 symbols sync word
    24 symbols tone
48 symbols post-preamble for fine offset measurement
It's worth noting that these symbols are sent with 2 Msym/s.
