CC8530: PER issue

Part Number: CC8530

Hi

I'm testing the software, PurePath Wireless Commander. and I tested PER test.

and the result is about 5~30% error rate in WiFi environment.

Actually, I'm going to use 24bit 44.1Khz sampling rate.

So my question is.... what is the limit PER without audio disconnection?

please answer me Thx.

  • Hi Minkyo,

It depends on your master configuration.

If you run Microsoft DebugView when accessing the Flash Programming panel, or when selecting device configuration in the Flash Programming panel, you will get information about number of tries and capacity.

These numbers indicate how robust the link is against bursts of lost packets (X tries means that X-1 packets (nominally) can be lost without dropout), and the average throughput required (capacity 1.00 means that no packets can be lost without degradation or dropout, 2.00 means that every second packet, on average, can be lost).

Note however that the each packet is divided into multiple parts, each with its own checksum. This means that packet errors do not necessarily damage all the data.

    Cheers,
    Fredrik
