CC8520: Pop/click from receiver audio output when power to transmitter is removed.

Part Number: CC8520
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1808, PCM5122, , CC2590

I have a custom transmitter and receiver based on the CC2590 and CC8520 EVM using a PCM1808 ADC on the transmitter side and PCM5122 DAC on the receiver side. I have just realized that if I pull the power to the transmitter before performing a "soft" power down of the CC8520 using a configured power toggle button, I get a pop from the audio output of the transmitter. This pop will happen even if the system has stopped transmitting audio samples due to the configured audio level threshold. If I use the power toggle button there is no noise at all from the receiver output. Is there any way to rectify this issue as it could be a problem for a consumer who either unplugs the transmitter before hitting the power toggle button, or in the case of a power outage. I have an available (GIO2) pin on the transmitter...could this be configured to sense an under-voltage condition while the main 12VDC system supply rail is collapsing, possibly through a resistive divider, and switch the CC8520 to a power off state before this noise can occur?

Thanks,

AW
