I am looking into porting code for the TRF7970A over to a PIC or Atmel part.

I am starting with the TRF7970ABP_RFID_Reader_Demo but would like to know if there are better examples.

This looks like it goes back to 2014 and I am finding some documentation shortcoming.

The porting is not going bad, but though I should check before debugging it.

It depends what your application requirements are. Please see Section 2.1 of our FAQ to understand the difference between our two firmware offerings: www.ti.com/.../sloa246

Also I want to mention upfront that due to inexperience with other vendor MCUs, the support we can offer once firmware is ported to non-TI MCUs may be limited depending on what issues arise.

Thanks for that link. It helped a lot. I am using the standalone version as indicated in that section.

The porting of this has gone very well and I will start testing today. I have used the TRF7960A before, but its been a few years.
