Hello,

I was trying to configure the reader to send the carrier signal-13.56MHz using the TRF7970 EVM Control GUI by making the following changes:

Chip Status Control is 0x00 and Modulator Control is Register 0x09

But I am unable to Write this into the device no matter what my settings are.

What COM port are you connected to?

Have you installed the drivers from www.silabs.com/.../usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers ?

I am connected to COM 1 and have also installed the driver.

Hello Preetha,

My guess then would be that the EVM firmware was overwritten.

The firmware can be re-flashed from this code: www.ti.com/.../sloc300

You will need an MSP-FET for that.
