RF430FRL152H: HOW MUCH CURRENT CAN PROVIDE THE PIN "VDDH" OF RF430FRL152H TO AN EXTERNAL COMPONENT?

I want use the RF430FRL152H to supply an external component. I can use VDDH (from 1.8v to 3.6v) or VDD2X but i'd like to know how much maximun current can provide VDDH and VDD2X. I see on datasheet 600uA for VDDH and 90uA for VDD2X but i don't understand if they are the maximun currents.

Is there a way to use the RF430FRL152H to supply an external device/load that requires 20mW, for example? The RF430FRL152H is powered by TRF7970A NFC/RFID boosterpack + MSP-EXP430G2 using RF.

Hello Mario,

That depends on the voltage and current draw of your device. The table in the FAQ lists both voltage supply and max current. You can calculate the power for each rail that way.

A last question: i can use the pin VDDSW to supply an external device/load when VDDSW is connected to VDDR? (i use the RF for supply the entire system) Or only with VDDH and/or VDD2X can supply an external device/load ?

Hello Mario,

Harvested RF energy is regulated to 1.5V (VDDR) node and is supplied to VDDSW. So yes it is possible to use VDDSW to source 1.5V either from RF when it is sourced from VDDR.
