TRF7960A: What is the normal initiation process to make TRF7960A working well?

Hi,

In one of my application i 'm using TR7960A . As my I/O signals are at 3.3V, i connected on board 3.3VCC to VDD_IO and decoupled the VDD_X with capacitors. is there any wrong with my connections. we need to mandatory short between VDD_IO and VDD_X pin to work normal.?

Hello Laxman,

yes, your connection of VDD_X shorted with VDD_IO is correct.
Can you please explain what the problem is with the initialization.

Please take a look also at the EN / EN2 pin settings (table 6-3 Power Modes in the datasheet).
If both pins are "0" VDD_X is set to off.

it looks like you did not get my question correctly.
In my design i connected 3.3VCC (from LDO) to VDD_IO only. There is not short between VDD_IO and VDD_X. VDD-X is just have a decouple capacitor. In this configuration is there any issues.

Hello Laxman,

That is fine. Decoupling caps on VDD_X are important so as you have those, that setup is correct.

Initialization process can be seen in TI code examples such as www.ti.com/.../sloc297
