Hi,

I have a question regarding Zigbee RF4CE.

Can I send RF4CE signals using general Wi-Fi PC card?

Is there any ready SW for such application?

Second question - when choosing RF4CE chip (or module), how do I configure it to UART for example?

Is this done (as I understand) Via Port0 or Port255 of network?

What are the exact command to do this configuration?

Hi Roee,

the RFCE industry standard utilizes IEEE802.15.4 as for MAC and physical layer hence it is incompatible with Wi-fi 802.11.

You need to have a device which is RFCE 802.15.4 compliant hence.

To configure the device to be used over UART in companion with an host processor, please refer to RemoTI Network Processor Developer’s Guide in http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/cc2530.html.

Please follow section 7 of that document and change accordingly the NW configuration file. For the host configuration to use UART please refer to your host device manual and BSP SW associated.
