TRF7960: 6.6 Reader communication interface

Dear TI engineer,

I was reading the technical document of TRF7960 Section 6.6 and had a little confuse about MOSI and MISO(please see the attached picture circuited by red). I can understand MOSI means data in(reader in), but why MISO means MCU out? Shouldn't MCU in at that time, could you explain it to me? Thank you.

Hello Mike,

You are correct about your thoughts. I think the datasheet had meant to say "out TO the MCU", not "MCU out". I'll make note of this bit of confusion in the datasheet.

To be crystal clear: MOSI is the SPI data input into the TRF7960, and MISO is the SPI data that is output from the TRF7960 going back to the MCU.
